Chicago new-wave quartet California Wives has announced the release of its debut Art History LP, out on 4th September via Vagrant. It follows the band’s 2010 EP Affair, which won over both local and national press.

The first taster is the taut, quivering Marianne driven along by big guitars and propulsive percussion and with a nod to the 80s indie rock scene with the catchy chorus and chiming synths. All in all a most palatable offering.
