Brisbane quartet Blank Realm will return with a new album, Grassed Inn, in January next year.

It follows on from one of our favourite recent releases Go Easy, which we posted a number of tracks from earlier in the year. The new record is catchier, if lyrically darker, and our taster track Falling Down The Stairs has certainly veered away somewhat from the melancholy churn and burn and scuzzy guitars employed so brilliantly on Go Easy.

Thankfully though this is equally good – pristine pop meshed with crystalline guitars and a soaring, psychedelic melody, all viewed through a grubby lens.
