Introducing >>> Ethan Jano

Ethan Jano is a young folk singer, whose guttural vocals and peculiar delivery feel akin to the dust bowl protest songs of the 30s and 50s which blended traditional folk with rhythm and blues and even a bit of rockabilly swagger.

It is a musical style inherited from a working class life that he has always known – raised in rural Pennsylvania, he was one of eight children born into a borderline blue-collar family. Some of his earliest memories involve listening to his Dad and great uncle pick out old tunes from the likes of Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Elvis and Bob Dylan.

We have a couple of contrasting tracks from his debut album I’ll Be Fine (out on the 10th February) for your listening pleasure. Check out the joyful strum of Wildfire and the poignant, reflective How You Should Be below.
