New Album From This Frontier Needs Heroes

We have been long standing admirers of the sibling duo Brad and Jessica Lauretti who have released a couple of albums and toured pretty relentlessly as This Frontier Needs Heroes.

They have a new album due in late August, Hooky benefits from the clever use of additional band members to bring an added dimension to their already sweetly rich harmonies. The taster track is the intriguingly named George Clooney, which is a simply gorgeous piece of contemporary Americana that we have pretty much on repeat…

I woke up so sad and hungover
Another wasted night on the Sunset Strip

Download it here. Ring the release date on your calendar, August 27th.

Free Single From This Frontier Needs Heroes.

This Frontier Needs Heroes is the Alt-Folk duo Brad and Jessica Lauretti from Brooklyn, NY. Their name is inspired by the phrase scrawled on Woody Guthrie’s guitar during WWII: “This Machine Kills Fascists.” Listening to This Frontier Needs Heroes is like having Brad and Jessica play in your backyard while the sun comes up.  With their powerful delivery and delicate harmonies, their music is full of lyrical stories of love and longing for a better world.

The new single, 2012, will be released on September 21, 2012 (exactly three months before the end of the Mayan Calendar on 21st December), on People in A Position to Know as a one-sided, pyramid shaped, picture disc. You can also grab the digital download for free below.
