Since forming in 2010, The Third Sound have enjoyed significant support from none other than Anton Newcombe including an album released on his label ‘a Recordings’ and supporting The Brian Jonestown Massacre in Europe.

Most recently the group has shared members with Newcombe and Tess Parks’ band, which has led to this collaboration. Featuring the aforesaid Tess Parks on vocals, the single You Are Not Here echoes the baggy haziness of both artist’s previous work. The country-tinged duet entwines frontman Hakon Aðalsteinsson’s mournful voice with Parks’ sweet, smoky exhale and suggests a darker and cleaner sound to their previous albums.
