Singer-songwriter Lail Arad releases her debut album Someone New on the 14th June via Notify Music.
It is a wonderful blend of sharp-tongued pop and lovely folk overtones and is most certainly good enough to mark her out from the crowd as one to watch. Try the jaunty, strummed acoustics of Everyone Is Moving To Berlin, which has shades of Jeffrey Lewis, but most reminded us of the first time we heard Michelle Shocked all those years ago.
