Tonight’s topic: men with beards. This Friday evening, I’m out with two jolly fine chaps:  MM and one of my bestest friends and main gigging partner (neither of whom currently sport beards). And off we will trot in an appropriately jaunty fashion, down the Cowley Road, to sway in time to the Band of Horses (almost uniformly, a group of men with an abundance of facial hair).  Perhaps a shandy or two will pass our lips. Hopefully much merriment will be had.

It’s been a long and tiring week and seeing as I’ve struggled to stay awake beyond 9.30pm most evenings, tonight should be a challenge. It must be my age. Or my gills.

Staying true to the essence of TFI Friday, here’s an oldie but goodie by the bearded ones (apologies to the clean shaven one). St Augustine is beautifully melodious, even by their standards.
