We came across The Real Burnouts Fully Involved EP as a free download (amongst many others) at the excellent Quixodelic Records.

The band play a woozy, insistent blend of garage and psychedelic rock that is the equal of anything else we’ve heard in recent times – and there’s some serious competition out there.

There are echoes of everything from krautrock to  The Monkees to Spacemen 3 to The Flaming Lips, and of the eight tracks on the EP we had real struggle to pick the ones to post on here, and in the end have settled for three to tempt you.

From the repetitive riff and vocal phrasing of Slide Right Into My Home to the reverb wash of Drunk And Stoned and the catchy, up-tempo Shot In The Pocket all are uniformly excellent and it is well worth the effort of getting acquainted with the whole EP.
