Well hello fishy friends (or the Swiss outpost), after a short sabbatical from Fridays, wiped out by long distance gigs, early mornings, rooming with my daughter, persistent bad dreams, family visits – I could go on, but your eyes may have shut by then… So here I am, swimming back up stream a little tentatively. I hear the sound of drums in the foothills of change. (Hence the troubled dreams I assume.) Onwards we go.

The football season is over. I was hoping that the grim reaper might come to kill the fragile ego of Judas Bent, but sadly Chewy Sam has gone to ruin West Ham. Shouty, short and ginger: Gordon Strachan maybe? Or even Roy Keane… now that would be rather nice. Does what goes around ever come around and strike a blow for fairness? Or does it lurk in its cockroach like shell and sit it out? Best we ask Roy in a few years.

Hmm.

Anyway, sadly, my choices for this week’s TFI were flouted. I decided upon White Buffalo and really wanted to post Black and Blue (great, great song) but computer – or MM – says no. So after White Buffalo, came White Wires and Your Mother Says You’re Ugly (and stupid, apparently). Musically, maybe not my favourite song ever, but lyrically, cheers Darren, Brett the wanky builder, and of course, Evil Edna (disappointed to see you still had a pulse after the latest school holiday). Ain’t it funny where you end up sometimes?
