We can’t help but think of Enid Blyton’s wartime children’s classic The Magic Faraway Tree whenever we hear the name Moonface, however, Spencer Krug’s incarnation of said name is about as far away from pixies, fairies, magic lands and wholesome well-mannered children innocently called Fanny and Dick as you can get.

So having already posted the excellent, full on aural synth/guitar assault of Teary Eyes And Bloody Lips, we now have a second track, this time clocking in at just under eight minutes it is the slower, more considered, but unmistakably epic Headed For The Door.

Like the man says…

there was blood, there was gore
I headed for the door
there was some ugly shit in store
I headed for the door

Didn’t get that with Ms Blyton! The album is out on the 17th April via Jagjaguwar.
