Boasting a sleeve that Mrs M will most definitely approve of, These Kings hail from Birmingham (the rainy one in the UK) and their single Home demonstrates all the attributes of musical magpies. From the opening ticking of drumsticks to the hypnotic indie melody that gives way to some chill-out vibes before exploding into a  sonic maelstrom of a coda, the song travels from ambience to classic rock without ever putting a single foot (should that be claw?) wrong.

Our description makes it sound like it should just be a horrible mess. It isn’t. It sounds great.

Apparently this is their first single and on this evidence These Kings could be set for bigger and better things very soon indeed.
