It seems to us that Tweak Bird have always been somewhat under appreciated compared with the plaudits heaped upon other bands like White Denim and Tame Impala.

Not that those two bands aren’t fully deserving of the acclaim – they are. Its just that we think some of those plaudits and that buzz should be coming the way of this duo from Los Angeles by-the-way-of Southern Illinois. They throw some southern rock and blues boogie, some Creedence style chooglin’, jackhammer percussion, and engine sludge into a pot and then sweeten the deal with a whole brick of Lebanese gold before inviting you to inhale deeply of the results.

You should too. Their latest release will be Undercover Crops, recorded over a long weekend in June, and features seven catchy, melodic and poppy, yet very heavy, stoned-out and shoe gazing tracks.

The EP is due on 9th October via Volcom Entertainment.
