After almost a year in the studio the result is Sympathetic Vibrations, a new 13 song release from Horsehead, crossing and blurring all musical styles and genres that band has previously set foot in.

At its core it is still a rock & roll record, but it quickly expands into something much more. From the sinewy Crazy Horse-style grind of Darkened Streets, to the pop-jangle of Running For The Door and Wasting Time, to the delicate longing of Hard Hand To Hold. Elsewhere there is the dark introspection of a boxer in John Adams, to the tale of Candy and her man and the stalker who just wants to get Sweet On You.

With piano, banjo, and steel guitar elegantly painted across the record to add depth and shape to every song it touches, Horsehead claim they have created the best and most diverse record in their nearly 10 year career. We’re not arguing.

It is out on 13th November.
