The Vestals hail from South Wales and mine the classic vein of bittersweet indie pop that can be traced from The June Brides and The Wedding Present through to modern day exponents like the Pains Of Being Pure At Heart.

On February 11th Killing Moon Records will release their debut single of glorious, nostalgia tinged, melancholia – the two tracks, Perfect Pain and Seventeen, effortlessly reflect past glories while imbuing them with a confidence and assuredness that sits most definitely in the here and now.

Infectious, danceable, poignant, and individual is quite a combination, but The Vestals, on this early evidence, are more than capable of pulling it off.
