Tallahassee To Release Old Ways

Tallahassee, which means “old town” in Apalachee, formed in Providence, RI in 2008. All of the members grew up in small rural towns, so the adoption of the name not only carried significance, but has had an influence on the music they make together. Inspired by these small-town origins, the band spin stories with lush arrangements that take the best elements from folk, rock and alt-country.

Old Brown Shoes, from the album Old Ways (out on the 7th May), perfectly expresses the desire to escape the confines of a small town. With poignant guitar and fervent vocal delivery the band pursues their dreams of moving beyond the cultural vacuum of growing up in a small town, capturing that ache for big opportunities and bigger spaces.
