Case Studies is the musical project of Jesse Lortz, a prolific Seattle based musician and half of former MM faves The Dutchess & The Duke. In 2011, he released the excellent solo album The World is Just a Shape to Fill the Night.

He has announced his new album This Is Another Life which will be released on Sacred Bones on the 11th June. As with his previous release, his lyrics wax and wane with truth and bare tales from his life. Melodies surface as lines hummed in the in-between times. These easy melodies coat the heavy subject matter of suicide, heartbreak, grief and regret. Another MM fave, Marissa Nadler also adds her vocals to one track Villain.
