New Dirtbombs Album

New Dirtbombs Album

We’ve been fans of Detroit’s Dirtbombs since we first came across their two excellent albums released at the start of the millennium, Ultraglide In Black and Dangerous Magical Noise.

Unconventional garage punks, equally at home mixing in soul, R&B and surf-pop as they are covering techno classics, their latest album is Ooey Gooey Chewy Ka-Blooey. And as if the title didn’t give it away, this time they are paying homage to the classic bubblegum pop sounds of the 70s.

Chew on a couple of tastes (sorry!), in the shape of authentic, retro sounding classics-in-waiting Girl On The Carousel and Crazy For You.
