Released a few days ago, Strangers is the new album by Baltimore band Eureka Birds.
It hovers somewhere between cerebral indie pop and damaged art-rock, with echoes of orchestral space rock, Ariel Pink’s oddness and Yo La Tengo’s literacy.
However, rather than being one big mess, the record is a surprisingly tight and coherent one, and one that reveals more of its many charms with each spin we give it.
