Milagres have shared a new song from Violent Light, their new album due out on Memphis Industries on 24th February. It comes hot on the heels of the sprawling and theatrical prog-indie of Letterbomb.

Jeweled Cave is a psych-pop gem, and features lead vocalist Kyle Wilson’s recollections of a childhood romance with a male friend: “it wasn’t a sexual relationship, but I don’t think you could describe it as anything other than being in love” .

The band’s last album Glowing Mouth was an essay on human frailty, composed in a haze of Vicodin from a hospital bed after a climbing accident left lead vocalist Kyle Wilson incapacitated for months. However, this follow-up is a different beast entirely – a record of restless motion and emotion, about living life. Both brave and bold, it dazzles in its gossamer alt-pop glory.
