The wonderful Sharon Van Etten’s new album Are We There is out at the end of May via Jagjaguwar.
The first taste is the hazy dream-pop of Taking Chances, her gorgeous vocals drifting over a smooth, polished rhythmic backdrop. It is as close to Beach House as anything else and perhaps heralds a slightly different direction for the album.
