Swedish singer-songwriter Varjen will release a new EP Against The Country through Rundgång Rekords on 9th May.
Varjen (Swedish for “the wolf”) is the solo project of singer-songwriter Niklas Sibelius. Against The Country is his second release, based around his unassuming guitar work, he creates beautiful, haunting indie-folk in the vein of Damien Jurado or fellow swede The Tallest Man on Earth. The songs explore themes of broken love, small town boredom and a scattered youth.
