Chris Devotion & The Expectations are more than a little fond of a bit of savage rock’n’roll and a pert frolic with the classic pop song.

Take Don’t You Call On Me, just under two and a half-minutes of power chords and forceful riffing that evokes the 70s heyday of aggressive melodies and distorted guitars, with a pleasing contemporary twist. Part confessional, part peacock strut, it comes from new album, Break Out, due on the 2nd June via Armellodie Records.
