High Waisted are a surf-rock band from New York – on their way home from SXSW they stopped in Nashville to party, dropped some acid and recorded these two tracks live to mic in a haunted house in Nashville. The results are the Acid Tapes Vol. 1.
Now that’s the kind of rock ‘n’ roll back story we like to hear.
The results are ramshackle, messy and fun and Shanghai Spy in particular has a lot going for it.
