Brooding post-punk trio, Slow Riot, are releasing their debut single, City Of Culture, via Straight Lines Are Fine on the 10th July. A three minute blast of angular, relentless, chiming guitars and half spoken / half shouted vocals, the song is a sardonic paean to the cultural status their native Limerick was awarded in 2014.

Its a more unorthodox take than usual in an overcrowded genre and has much to commend it! File somewhere between Gang of Four, Future of the Left and even contemporaries like Girl Band.
