Creating an intriguing mishmash of musical styles – soundtrack surf, weird pop and Americana, Surfing Magazines are a new garage-rock group consisting of two thirds of The Wave Pictures and one half of Slow Club.

Declaring that they intend to ‘rock out and blow your mind, and then mellow out and soothe your mind, then rock out again’, they have more than lived up to their promise with the excellent Lines and Shadows – the first song to be taken from their self-titled album, due for release on Moshi Moshi on 1^st September.
