The excellent Crockpot is the first single on Slothrust’s new record, Of Course You Do, which is out on Ba Da Bing! Records this February 18. When a comment on the Soundcloud describes it as a cross between Total Eclipse Of The Heart and Smells Like Teen Spirit it has to be worth a listen doesn’t it? And it is a lot more the latter … Continue reading Introducing >>> Slothrust
Milagres have shared a new song from Violent Light, their new album due out on Memphis Industries on 24th February. It comes hot on the heels of the sprawling and theatrical prog-indie of Letterbomb. Jeweled Cave is a psych-pop gem, and features lead vocalist Kyle Wilson’s recollections of a childhood romance with a male friend: “it wasn’t a sexual relationship, but I don’t think you could describe … Continue reading Milagres – Violent Light

The dark-hearted gothic-country of Black Hay makes a welcome return with the release of forthcoming single, I Feel Something. It is the first single from forthcoming debut album Romantic Music For Perverts and delivers a pleasingly ominous countrified twang amidst appropriately lusty lyrics. Imagine if you will the Kills playing the Moonlite Bunnyranch in Nevada… I Feel Something is out, ironically enough, on Valentine’s Day, … Continue reading MM Shorts 507: Black Hay
Sleepy Sun have made regular appearances on MM over the past few months and Outside is the latest track to come from forthcoming new album Maui Tears. It is a seamless collision of dovetailed fuzz riffage and laconic, primordial stoner ooze. Weirdly it makes us think of Phosphorescent fronting Pink Floyd…whatever, it is one heck of a tune! Pre-order the album here. . Continue reading More From Sleepy Sun
