Live Review: Dawes
Dawes || The Bullingdon Arms, Oxford || Sunday 15th July Unavoidable delays meant we missed the undoubted delights of Jonny Corndawg as support to Laurel Canyon’s Dawes, and by the time we squeezed into the back of a packed Bully, the main attraction were already taking centre stage. The band has made another track off their raw, sweaty, dirty, rockin’ self-titled debut available for posting. Without further ado, here is Blue Mountains. a You can … Continue reading More From Diamond Rugs
Introducing >>> Clear Plastic Masks
Clear Plastic Masks hail from Brooklyn, but fear not, they are about as far a cry from bedroom laptop noodling as it is possible to get. These boys are a rock’n’roll band pure and simple, offering up a thrilling mix of bluesy, reverb drenched guitar and pistol shot percussion with no airs and graces, and plenty of good time attitude. They have just finished recording … Continue reading Introducing >>> Clear Plastic Masks
Introducing Waves of Fury
We’ve taken our sweet time getting round to listening to the new single Businessman’s Guide To Witchcraft by Somerset’s Waves of Fury, but as soon as we did we knew we’d be sharing it far and wide. It is the first track to see the light of day from their forthcoming self-titled long player and it is an unholy alliance of scowling, snarling vocals, sleazy … Continue reading Introducing Waves of Fury
