With more than a nod to the Ramones on the one hand and the Walkmen on the other, the band play tight, melodic, driving rock songs that is summed up perfectly with this taster track … Continue reading MM Shorts 171: New Album From The Whigs
The Chorderoys are a three-piece originally from Charleston, South Carolina, but now resident in Austin Texas. They have released an EP titled No Man’s Land and it is a most appealing blend of indie rock, alt-Country, folk and Americana. Johnny 5th Wheel & The Cowards play something they define as “steampunk-doom-jazz” and their latest single is, nominally at least, a double A side featuring the tracks Nancy and In My Laboratory. The former is more jazz than steampunk, as it meanders laconically along telling a surreal tale of giant eyeballs, librarians and obsession – you could picture it on the banks of the Seine in … Continue reading Introducing >>> Johnny 5th Wheel & The Cowards
