New Album From Moses Luster

New Album From Moses Luster

We just received news of a new album release from Moses Luster and the Hollywood Lights, titled The Hangman’s Door.

Purveyors of very fine, melancholic and sometimes dark, Americana, with this their third release, the band has focused on honing their sound while exploring some new diversions. For sure, the album continues along the path of previous releases of exploring the drudgery of everyday lives of drunks, losers, and broken hearts, but it also explores their country side with Until I’m Saved, and the rolling, road-weary song Sorrow Town.

The Dirt is a sober and haunting exploration of coming to terms with death, while Hangman’s Door finds Moses accepting his fate while facing down bigger troubles. On Sold Out they poke fun at their heroes and the way of the world – the song being written after being floored by witnessing Bob Dylan selling cars during last year’s Super Bowl.
