The Return Of ⅔ Goat

It has been nearly four years since we featured New York farm based band ⅔ Goat and their eclectic fusion of folk, blues, rock, and country that summoned the likes of vintage era Cash & Carter with a contemporary spin.

This time they are engaged in a unique recording project – digitally releasing two songs every two months until the full album Let It Rise is completed at the end of the year. They will then release the entire album in physical form.

They have reached the second round of sharing songs (after the March release of Jenny and Heading Down the Road) and we have the simple rustic charm of Young Man and Whistle in the Wind, a dreamy ballad about “the ghost of Fred” whose presence both haunts and enlightens the singer Annalyse McCoy.
