Having just posted about the forthcoming Delta Spirit album, we received an e-mail (nominally from the rather attractively named Mortimer The Goose) introducing Ezra Furman & The Harpoons, and mentioning they will soon be out touring in support of Delta Spirit.

Like Quasimodo, the band’s name rang a bell and a check through our iTunes revealed just a single track from 2008 called We Should Fight (from an album called Inside The Human Body) – a damn fine song it is too.

However, they have sent over a new track for us to listen to and having done so we can see why they should be a good fit for the tour. It’s catchy, melodic with a memorable chorus and best of all to our ears, employs a useful harmonica. See what you think below.
