The British Public’s debut double single Breasts/Bears is a celebration of British peculiarity in all its guises through the medium of perfect, quirky rock. Like they say, is there anything better than a catchy three minute pop song where the bears attack and the high street breasts get bigger? These adventures through the great and the grim of In-ger-land are the first threads unraveling in the intricate web of weirdness that inhabits the bursting brain of The British Public – aka Robert Gregory.
These are the first tracks taken from the upcoming self-tilted debut album, and begin a series of limited-edition 7” double A-side singles. A rollicking ride down a British high-street Breasts is a little fire-cracker single to light up the onset of winter with warm brass and a heavy dose of nostalgia while Bears swirls together lyrical tongue twisters in to a rumbling shoe-gazer that creeps up and sticks claws deep in to the skin.
Take a listen.
