Just received this update from Wooden Wand about his Kickstarter project.

“Howdy everybody,

Really excited to announce that we have reached our goal – we officially have enough to cover the recording, mixing, mastering and pressing of this LP. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart – this has been very inspiring.

But let’s don’t quit now! We undershot by a bit to make sure the project got funded. While we now have enough to make the record, we still lack funds for travel, food, shipping, and most of the supplies for the gifts we promised. We’re of course prepared to pay out of pocket for all of this, but with 50 some odd days to go, we’re pretty confident we can raise quite a bit more, so please keep spreading the word on your blogs, at Bingo night, in truckstop restroom stalls, or wherever music fans congregate these days.

Tried five times to attach a song for yall – the previously unheard and rare ‘Murfreesboro’ version of More From The Mountain – with no luck, so I’ve uploaded it to the Wooden Wand Myspace page instead. Enjoy!”

So great news as far as we’re concerned, but if you haven’t already, do go and listen to the song and do pay the Kickstarter page a visit and support – there is some great stuff on offer for pledges (anything from $10 up) and the sooner he can get started the better!
