Canadians Timber Timbre’s self titled debut album rightly picked up a lot of plaudits for its spooky, sparse, sinister, and sometimes downright malevolent take on folk music. The restrained approach served the album exceptionally well, and we were particularly looking forward to them playing at the End of the Road festival last year. Sadly circumstances prevented them making it on the day, but we’re glad to see they’re back on the bill for 2011.

They’re also back with a new single, Black Water, which comes from new album, the appropriately titled Creep on Creepin’ On which will be released on 5th April on Arts & Crafts. If it is half as good as its predecessor then we’re in for a treat.
