Our post title sounds like a lost Dickens novel.

No matter, Elliott Brood were, if memory serves me right, one of the very first bands we posted back when we were on (shit) Google Blogger. They confirmed all the good things we had thought about them when Barry Sean and I saw them perform a wonderful set at the End of the Road Festival last year.

So, a pleasure then, to discover an upcoming album, Days Into Years and a taster in the form of Northern Air. While it is not a full-on hillbilly and moonshine stomper of the kind they deliver better than most, it is another very fine example of their bluegrass tinged, up tempo alt-country with a classic singalong chorus.
