We posted about the marvellous Owsley Brothers a couple of times back in the spring having been completely seduced by their mix of pulsing blues riffs and gothic country.

So the good news is that they are back with a new EP titled Pure Lust, which contains five tracks including the fabulous Under the Shade Of A Live Oak, which we have posted before. The new tracks are in the same vein…gritty, ramshackle blues with a whole bunch of attitude and soul and not a little hint of menace too. Take a listen to the visceral title track with its bone shaking, primeval riff and reverb heavy vocals. Be converted and then, as they say, lock up your daughters!
