Introducing...Aaron Embry.

Aaron Embry will release his debut album Tiny Prayers on 18th September, via Community Music in the US and Communion Records in the UK.

Tiny Prayers is a spare 10-song collection with a captivating, classic charm that introduces Embry – who honed his songwriting by recording and touring with artists including Elliott Smith, Willie Nelson, and Daniel Lanois, among many others – as a singular artist. Songs range from the gentle, conversational tone of the lyrical Your Heart and Mine (watch a stripped-down video below) and the cascading title track, to the impassioned So I Turn and the languid country march of the brooding No Go. Throughout, Embry explores a wide range of emotions while anchored in the cardinal folk tradition of simplicity.

Embry wrote Tiny Prayers in the late summer and autumn of 2011, at the tail end of his three-year stint as the piano player for Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. He plays every instrument on all songs, bar one, himself.
