Mrs Mackerel’s TFI Friday (20th July)

Mrs Mackerel's TFI Friday (20th July). Well had my nearest near death experience this week. Pootling down the road into our sleepy ol’ town at a sleepy ol’ pace, at a quarter to midnight, after two cups of tea and a chocolate finger with Big Sair, listening to The Pines. Approaching the crossroads at a cool 25 mph, my right of way, two boy racers chasing each other, didn’t stop, didn’t give way, missed me by a whisker. Five seconds earlier that’s me knocked into the beginning of next week. Probably the time it took BS to say drive carefully now. Makes you think. Somewhat.

Daughter Sprat finished primary school today. Bonny and bright she is too, I would like to see her grow up, please.

Figuring it’s better not to just burn out, or even fade away. Empty vessels make the most noise, or maybe they just make no noise at all because they’re bloody empty. That silence can be deafening. Make an effort. Drive as carefully as you can. And remember to stop and eat the roses.
