Chicago folk-rock band, Quarter Mile Thunder, officially release their latest album, Twist, which can now be downloaded for free or a donation at their Bandcamp page.

Folk-rock is not really a term that does the band justice however, for there is much more going on than that straightforward description might suggest. There is a good degree of sonic experimentation in evidence, more than a knowing nod and wink to the music god of psychedelia, and best of all, strong, captivating songs that are immersed in sparse, haunting atmospherics.
