New Album From I See Hawks In L.A.

Mystery Drug is the title of the new album from southern California’s psychedelic country rockers I See Hawks In L.A.

This is their seventh long player and the latest phase of the Hawks journey – mixing serious country credentials with wild lyricism and surreal story telling. There’s slide guitar and fiddle, there’s twang, there’s honky tonk and there’s cowpunk grooves, but above all there’s a fabulous collection of songs covering life, love, the universe and everything in between. It is a heady and brilliantly intoxicating mix of Gram Parsons style cosmic Americana.

Check out album lead off track Oklahoma’s Going Dry and the outstanding country waltz of One Drop Of Human Blood where Rob Waller’s honey voiced baritone tells the tale of desert marriage rituals.

Mystery Drug is a wonderful record – find ordering details on their website here.
