The dark, bewitching folk-noir and heartbreaking pop of Chelsea Wolfe has, over the past three albums, gradually infiltrated, then beguiled, and then seduced us completely. Unique in her outlook, she uses drone, echoing vocals, and electronica to weave haunting, foggy tales of (often) despair, loss and sorrow.
Her new album Pain Is Beauty will be released in early September and first single The Warden shows that she has lost none of her fire and penchant for gothic tinged, folky melodrama – have a listen.
