We were big fans of Wolf Alice’s first two singles so when a promo of their latest release, a four track EP titled Blush, dropped through the letterbox we gave it a spin pretty much straight away.
While the roaring, wall of sound approach remains much in evidence, the songs display a bit more subtlety and scope, even dabbling with some bruised pop sensibilities in places. But it is the sprawling, epic onslaught of She that stands out as a serious statement of intent – it is a step up and, even more than before, marks this four-piece out as genuine contenders for the big league!
