Mini Dresses, are a Boston-via-Austin dream pop band who we briefly featured back in October 2012, and who have recently released not one, but two new singles – Everywhere I Go and Watching You.

The duo describe the tunes as finding a space between a lot of today’s shoegazey dream pop bands (Blouse, Ringo Deathstarr, Tamaryn), jangly Flying Nun bands (think Look Blue Go Purple, The Chills, and Sneaky Feelings), and other old favourites (Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star, Galaxie 500, etc.).

Thankfully, they do a good job; managing to come up with something fresh rather than derivative and also incorporating some elements of world music like Javanese Gamelan music, Malian guitar, and sitar raga stuff.
