Avers, the Richmond indie rock quintet that includes members of The Head and the Heart, Hypercolor, The Mason Brothers, and Farm Vegas, is heading out on a summer tour in support of their recently released debut album Empty Light.
Having given the record a couple of spins, we think these are shows you might want to add to your must-see list. A fabulous mix of jangly guitars, fuzzed up pop, and psychedelic wig outs, and expertly blending influences from the epic sweep of Spiritualized, the guitar-fueled freakouts of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and the cultish crunch of Brian Jonestown Massacre into something singular. Empty Light is a record that invites you to turn on and tune in… but it won’t let you drop out.
Try a couple of tracks from the record below and check out the live dates.
