The Wharves combine gracefully minimal psych-rock with fuzzed out folk invoking the reverberated spook of 60s girl groups topped with crunchy guitar and thunderous drumming.
They have shared a second track from their upcoming debut, At Bay due out on the 3rd November. Featuring intricate guitars, soaring harmonies and the addition of a foreboding male vocal choir, The Grip recalls the labyrinthian structures of Fleetwood Mac, Stealing Sheep and Sleater-Kinney’sThe Woods’ era.
