It can’t be anything other than a good day when a new indie-guitar band turns up in your in-box with just enough bravado and swagger matched with the necessary grit and urgency to carry things off.

So it is with The Doctorates, a Kent three-piece boasting influences from The Ramones to The Vaccines, and their new single Make For An Exit which boasts plenty of ’70s punk influences allied to some infectious melodies and enough of a contemporary feel to deliver a most satisfying (and crunchy) indie-anthem cocktail.
