A short while ago we were sent a digital copy of Barna Howard’s new album Quite A Feelin’ and it has gradually become a constant soundtrack to everything we’ve been doing over the past few days.
It is a country music album in the classic sense – in the Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, Townes Van Zandt sense. Yep, that good!
Eloquent, poetic, heartfelt stories told with warmth and in an easy-going, unhurried style that lets each song unfurl at its own pace like smoke rising from a campfire. And each one a scalpel sharp observation on life, the critical minutiae that add up to the trials and tribulations that trouble us all and drive decisions good and bad.
