Telegram Cover Brian Eno

London four-piece, Telegram will release new single Aeons on their own Gram Gram label on the 10th of July.

Channelling their love of Roxy Music, Syd Barrett, krautrock and late proto-punk to great effect, we’ve already posted the A side here, and the flipside is the band’s unique take of Needles In The Camel’s Eye, from Brian Eno’s classic 1973 album Here Comes The Warm Jets.

Speaking on their version of the track, frontman Matt Saunders says: ‘Eno once described Needles in the camel’s Eye as “an instrumental with singing on it” and you can’t argue with that! Nor can we deny this be a favorite of ours. we played it so much from the record that I think we inevitably got bored of hearing it like that, so we started playing it live instead‘.
