Sievehead come straight out of Sheffield’s The Lughole, a DIY space “run by the punks, for the punks”.
With nods towards UK post-punk forefathers Joy Division, Echo and The Bunnymen and The Cure, whilst also sounding straight out of the Salad Days’ soundtrack alongside bands like Fugazi and Minor Threat, Sievehead have carved out their own sound – energetic, raw and powerful with more than a whiff of menace in the air.
They have announced the release of their debut album, Into The Blue coming out 4th December on 12” vinyl, via Evil Hoodoo and Milk Run Records (you can pre-order here).
Until then, listen to Look Both Ways from it here.
