100 Songs In 100 Hours: 51 – Heron Oblivion

Heron Oblivion are a San Francisco combo consisting of some of the leading figures in the psych / folk scene, including Meg Baird of Espers, Ethan Miller and Noel Von Harmonson from Comets on Fire as well as Charles Saufley of Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound.

Together they combine heavy psychedelic rock with English folk sounding like a mesh of Chrome, MC5, Low and Pentangle. Their self-titled album will be released 4th March through Sub Pop, but for now listen to lead single Oriar.
